English Oral 2008

Lol... I don't know why, but i suddenly miss my Form 4 English teacher... T.T

She left to be a lecturer... Sigh...

But anyways, juz dug out this oral that she said was good...

Felt like sharing it with you guys and asking for your opinion...

I have a friend, one whom has lost both her legs in a car accident. She never blames God for that for she knew that fate was against her. Neither had she loses faith in herself. Although she was considered as a handicap, but deep inside, she knew better. She was better than those around her; she knows she was way better than them.

Since birth, she was diagnosed with bipolar disorder. That was the main reason she wasn’t that welcome in class, she was often called the “problem child”. She didn’t know what happen when she was mad, it was either she found herself at home in bed, or tied up to a chair in class. Sometimes she could be sweet, kind, and creative as if she was an angel sent by Jesus himself; but sometimes, she could turn into a brutal monster, destroying everything that gets into her way as if she was a devil from hell. Who would ever want to accept a child like that?

Why must everyone see her in a different way? Isn’t she another human being on Earth who’s trying find a place she belongs? Even her parents didn’t want to accept the fact that they have a child like her. All the attention was given to her younger brother, who was all cute and not to mention a prodigy. She could never compare to him, never… She once tried to commit suicide when she was in 8th grade. Little did she knew it wasn’t her parents who stopped her from doing so, neither was it her friends, it was her form teacher. She remembers the things he told her. “When you have hope, you’ll eventually have faith, confidences, and everything you would ever want, just don’t ever give up on your life...” He said. “Nothing can take your precious life away from you.” Since then, she started building her self-esteem, having faith in everything she does. To believe you are always the first, that’s how you be a winner… She had never given up even after the accident she had which cost her both her legs, she will never give up…

If she did, would she be here to tell you all this now?
